Players Code Of Conduct

All players representing the Luton Caribbean Cricket & Social Club are required to uphold the highest standards of conduct, both on and off the field. The following rules are binding upon all players and are designed to promote discipline, safety, and respect for the game.

Player Responsibilities

  • Any player selected to play but unable to do so must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to the Selection Committee.
  • All players are expected to arrive at the venue in good time to prepare adequately for the fixture.
  • It is the responsibility of each player to be aware of and confirm the team for which they have been selected.

Standards of Behaviour

  • The use of smoking, alcohol, illegal substances, inappropriate language, and handheld devices is strictly prohibited on the field of play.
  • Players are expected to display respect, discipline, and sportsmanship at all times in accordance with the spirit of cricket.

Dress Code and Equipment

  • All members taking part in matches must be appropriately dressed in recognised cricket attire.
    • Black boots are not permitted.
  • Helmets are mandatory for:
    • All batters under the age of 18.
    • Wicketkeepers standing up to the stumps.

Membership Requirement

  • It is a compulsory requirement that every player complete a Club Membership Form to remain eligible for continued membership.
  • The Luton Caribbean Cricket & Social Club accepts no responsibility or liability for any player who is not a bona fide member of the Club.

Liability

  • Neither the Luton Caribbean Cricket & Social Club nor Crawley Green Sports & Social Club shall accept liability for the loss, theft, or damage of valuables left in the dressing rooms or any other Club areas.
